How do you make 130 years of cooperation visible?
01 · The challenge
For the 130th anniversary of the Trentino Federation of Cooperatives, we needed an identity that could speak to younger people too. We were a team of six girls: each of us brought her own proposal, and one was carried all the way through.
02 · The mapping
We mapped Trentino's cooperative movement: the people, the places and the cooperatives that hold it together. Every idea grew out of this map.
03 · My proposal
My proposal started from one idea: cooperation in Trentino reflects values written in the community's DNA, meaning solidarity, sharing and a sense of belonging. On a grid I drew four shapes, like the letters of a code. Combined, they form the number 130 and become a pattern.
The grid
Shape 1
Shape 2
Shape 3
Shape 4
04 · The final identity
A ribbon that ties people together and, as it folds, writes the number 130.

“The past never stops ending, the future never stops beginning, Cooperation is present.”

The ribbon knots, rolls and weaves: each postcard tells a different way of being together.

A tape dispenser: the cooperation ribbon becomes an object to pull and use during conferences.

The ribbon leaves the paper: in the square, on T-shirts, on the map of the cooperatives.

05 · The result
“Even now, the brand and the identity for the 130th anniversary still move me: a truly successful, shared piece of work!”
