Does talking about death seem difficult to you? It is, indeed. I had the opportunity to work with the Mortali Festival, an event held in Trento to raise awareness around the topics of death, advance directives (DAT), and palliative care. The festival lasted 10 days, during which 22 events took place.
Together with a colleague, we handled all the communication: offline graphics (posters, flyers, calendars), online (website, social media, Eventbrite), and we also took care of photography and social media content management during the events. Scroll to find out how we did it!

A union between the dance of life and death
We carried out a rebranding compared to the 2023 visual identity, merging the concepts of the danse macabre — a symbol of death that spares no one — and Matisse’s dance, which stands in antithesis as a true celebration of life. The visual result perfectly reflects the festival’s motto: “Acknowledging death to dance through life”, creating an intense, evocative, and recognisable graphic language.

Graphic materials
We created all the festival’s graphic assets: the event poster with the full calendar, posters in three different sizes, a roll-up banner, and a brochure containing complete information on all events. Every element was designed to ensure visual consistency, readability, and communicative impact.

Social media management
We managed social media for three months before the festival and for a few days afterwards, constantly monitoring insights and creating targeted advertising campaigns to maximise visibility and audience engagement.

We created a dedicated landing page for the festival, integrated with Eventbrite for ticket management. We also handled the complete Eventbrite configuration, ensuring a simple and functional booking experience for participants.
